Hindsight
By: Sarah Belle
Blurb
Humour,
wit, and just a touch of humility: the swinging 60s as you’ve never seen them
before!
The universe has sent Juliette a sign. She wishes it had been an email instead...
Juliette’s career is on fire, her marriage and family are in melt-down, and a red-hot goddess wants her husband. But those are the least of her worries when she wakes up on her lounge room floor in the year 1961.
Without any of her modern conveniences — nanny, housekeeper, surgically attached mobile phone, designer wardrobe, and intravenous lattes — Juliette is just over fifty years out of her comfort zone. But as she takes on the role of a 1961 housewife, with gritted liberated teeth, she discovers an unexpected truth: slower doesn’t mean boring, at home doesn’t mean dull, and priorities don’t mean sacrifices.
As she finds unexpected friendships, a resuscitated love life, tragedy and triumph, Juliette begins to wonder if she really wants to return home after all.

Author Info
Sarah Belle
started her professional life in the hospitality industry, working in some of
the roughest hotels in Melbourne in the late Eighties, surrounded by drug
dealers, prostitutes, pimps, and undercover police. Tiring of the inherent
dangers of her working environment, Sarah completed a business degree and went
on to work in the recruitment industry and the Department of Defence, where she
met and married the man of her dreams: a dashing, Army Blackhawk pilot. They
have four young sons and live on the beautiful Queensland coast, where Sarah's
days are spent being a frazzled mum, writer, Bikram Yoga devotee and the only
woman in a house of five males.

What was the first
romance novel you read that made an impression on you?
Jenny
Colgan’s ‘Do you remember the first time’, was my first romantic comedy read. I
loved the mixture of humor, characters and the protagonist’s journey throughout
the book. It got me hooked on the genre.
Tell us 5 surprising
things about yourself.
I
have spent my life surrounded by males - I grew up with three older brothers
and now have four sons, so it surprises me that I write romantic comedy!
I
have to do Bikram Yoga at least three times a week to maintain my sanity
levels.
I
once did a four week Pole Dancing course. I was the worst dancer in the room
and was covered in bruises and carpet burn by the end of it.
I
am woeful at covering my son’s school books with contact paper- air bubbles and
corrugations appear from nowhere. It looks so bad that my sons have asked me to
stop covering their books.
I
grew up in a bakery but cannot bake a cake – even a packet mix is beyond me.
What is your writing
environment.
My
workspace is on the dining table in the middle of the busiest room in the
house!
Do you plan all your characters
out before you start a story or do they develop as you write?
I
plan my main characters out because I need them to suit the scenario I have
come up with, but all secondary characters just evolve as I write.
What’s the last movie
you watched and loved?
‘Oz
the Great and Powerful’. It made me feel like a kid again- completely lost in
that world and in awe of the effects. Also, James Franco is a bit gorgeous!
Flirting Questions
Which actor or
book character do you have a crush on?
Daniel Craig – it doesn’t matter which character he plays, he’s hot!
What’s your favorite
body part of the opposite sex?
Broad,
muscular shoulders.
What does love feel
like?
It
feels like home.
What’s an absolute
no-no in a relationship?
Disrespect.
If you could take a
romantic trip, where would it be?
Somewhere
warm and lazy – the Greek Isles perhaps.
Flirting Quickies:
Facial hair or clean
shaven? – Clean
shaven.
Alpha or Beta? – beta.
Coffee or tea?- Tea.
Spotlight
or In the Shadows? – in the shadows.
Optimist
or pessimist? – Optomist.
