[Book Tour] What She Wants by Sheila Roberts

What She Wants
by Sheila Roberts

BLURB:

What do women want?

Jonathan Templar and his poker buddies can't figure it out. Take Jonathan, for instance. He's been in love with Lissa Castle since they were kids but, geek that he is, she's never seen him as her Mr. Perfect. He has one last shot—their high school reunion. Kyle Long is equally discouraged. The pretty receptionist at his office keeps passing him over for other guys who may be taller but are definitely not superior. And Adam Edwards might be the most successful of Jonathan's friends, but he isn't having any success on the home front. His wife's kicked him out.

When Jonathan stumbles on a romance novel at the Icicle Falls library sale, he knows he's found the love expert he's been seeking—Vanessa Valentine, top-selling romance author. At first his buddies laugh at him for reading romance novels, but soon they, too, realize that these stories are the world's best textbooks on love. Poker night becomes book club night…and when all is read and done, they're going to be the kind of men women want!

AUTHOR Bio and Links:

Sheila Roberts lives on a lake in the Pacific Northwest. She’s happily married and has three children. She’s been writing since 1989, but she did lots of things before settling in to her writing career, including owning a singing telegram company and playing in a band. Her band days are over, but she still enjoys writing songs. When she’s not speaking to women’s groups or at conferences or hanging out with her girlfriends she can be found writing about those things near and dear to women’s hearts: family, friends, and chocolate.

Could you please start by telling us a little about yourself?
I’m a chocoholic. I love to exercise... as long as it comes disguised as play: tennis, dancing, volleyball, golf. If there’s a game involved, I’ll do it! I really enjoying playing games of any kind. I actually have a group of girlfriends I get together with for lunch and games (anything from board games to cards) once a month. We call ourselves the Game Girls and we’ve been together for eight years. I’m happily married and my children are all speaking to me. (Although they’re currently fighting over who has to take me when I’m old. Last I heard I’m going to be put on an ice floe.) I enjoy reading, and I really enjoy writing. It’s a wonderful thing to get to do what you love for a living.

What was the first romance novel you read that made an impression on you?
Hmmm. Probably Georgette Heyer’s “The Masqueraders”. I cut my teeth on novels by Georgette Heyer and Victoria Holt.

What is your favorite scene in your new release?
I’m very partial to the scene where my shy hero makes his dancing debut. Let’s just say that his first time out isn’t exactly a success.

What main genre do you write in?
I’d probably be labeled as someone who writes women’s fiction with a good dose of romance thrown in. And there’s some humor in there, too. At least I think I’m funny.

How does your family feel about having a writer in the family? Do they read your books?
My family is fabulous. They always show up at my book signings. In fact, my oldest brother has taken up the habit of attending decked out in a crazy costume. I never know what he’s going to show up in. The last one he came dressed as a little old lady. And he’s the quiet one! It’s always a party when my family hits the bookstore.

How can readers find out more about you and your books?
I’ve got a fun Like page on Facebook (Sheila Roberts, author), and there’s always something happening on my website. (http://www.sheilasplace.com) I hope some of you will stop by for a visit.
